With an unwavering passion for culinary excellence, he embarked on a journey to create the very first Indian restaurant in Hanoi. Tandoor Hanoi stands today as a testament to his pioneering spirit, nestled in the heart of Hanoi's historic old quarters. Since 1997, Tandoor Indian Restaurant has been a pioneer in bringing authentic Indian cuisine to Ho Chi Minh City. Founded by Mr. Subhash, who recognized the absence of genuine Indian flavors in the city, Tandoor marked the inception of authentic Indian dining in Vietnam. Over the years, we have continued to evolve and grow, and we are proud to announce the opening of our second exquisite restaurant, a beautiful four-floor establishment located in the heart of Little Tokyo on Lê Thánh Tôn Street. Alongside this new addition, our original restaurant remains nestled between Dong Khoi Street and Nguyen Hue Street, two of the most famous streets in Ho Chi Minh City. Both of these prime locations cater perfectly to travelers and locals alike, providing an exceptional dining experience in the heart of this enchanting city.

Tandoor Indian Restaurant, under the guidance of Head Chef Khan, offers a truly Indian experience. With Mr. Khan leading the culinary team since the inception, our three Indian restaurants collectively feature 11 native Indian chefs, all experts in providing a wide range of specialties from across India, including halal, vegan, vegetarian, Jain, and meat dishes. We take pride in using in-house freshly ground spices and top-quality local produce to recreate authentic Indian cuisine, paying homage to Indian culture and heritage.

In 1997, the founder of Tandoor Indian Restaurant, Mr. Subhash saw a lack of authentic Indian food in Ho Chi Minh city and decided to launch the first authentic Indian restaurant in Vietnam, along Saigon’s historical channel. Today, Tandoor sits on street at the heart of Saigon’s historical city centre, less than twenty metres away from Saigon’s famous walking street.
